Last but certainly not least, our final 2024 AHF Readers' Choice Award Finalist is the Journey, which is our second contender in the permanent supportive housing category.
The Journey is a new construction, 40-unit permanent supportive housing (PSH) development located in Venice, California. Developed by Venice Community Housing (VCH), the Journey will provide 39 PSH homes with rents at 30% of the household income; 19 for formerly unhoused transitioned aged youth (TAY) and 20 for formerly chronically homeless adults and families. This affordable housing development features a public plaza and garden in the front, an open courtyard and gathering spaces, as well as an outdoor rooftop deck. The ground floor will have administrative office and programming spaces for Safe Place for Youth (SPY), an organization dedicated to empowering young people experiencing homelessness through lasting, community-driven solutions and services.
If you're a AHF magazine or newsletter subscriber, please consider voting for the Journey! Voting for our "top tier" developments closes on August 19, so make sure you cast your vote by the deadline.
