NEF is proud to offer congratulations to our partners at Jamboree Housing Corporation on their creative solution to substantially rehabilitate a run-down motel into the Ascent apartments in Buena Park, CA!
The Ascent apartments provides 57 units of affordable housing for people who have recently been unhoused and households earning no more than 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI). Twenty-eight units are reserved for residents with mental health diagnoses. This is the developer's first supportive housing project in the city, which offers on-site services to prevent chronic homelessness. In addition, the community center built next to the property gives residents a place to gather and benefit from the services offered.
