The NEF team is proud to support our partners at Evergreen Real Estate Group who recently held the groundbreaking of Encuentro Square. Soon, 89 new affordable housing units will be available for those who need it most in a development that unites the Logan Square, Humboldt Park and Hermosa neighborhoods of Chicago.
The development site is on the western edge of Chicago's 606 Trail, a 2.7-mile elevated park and trail that was built on what was once an industrial train line. Today, the trail features a variety of vibrant scenery including a chain of street-level parks, an observatory, and public art installations.
