Congratulations to our longtime partners at National Church Residences on the grand re-opening of Lakewood Christian Manor in Atlanta! After undergoing a second round of rehab work, this affordable housing development provides upgraded facilities to 250 senior households (aged 55+) where they can safely and comfortably age in place.
All units are affordable thanks to the 20-year Section 8 term for 50 units and Atlanta Housing Authority's HomeFlex program with a 17-year term for 199 units. National Church Residences will work with Habitat for Humanity to provide services through their Homes for Life initiative, which assists vulnerable seniors with aging in place.
NEF's Kristen Senff attended the grand re-opening to see the new amenities firsthand, which included a fitness center, computer room, and an arts & crafts space.
