A few weeks ago, we celebrated the grand opening of Salem Village in Columbus, Ohio with our partners at National Church Residences! This 76-unit affordable housing development is dedicated to seniors ages 62 and older and is an ideal space for independent living. For years, NEF has collaborated closely with National Church Residences to bring high-quality affordable housing and permanent supportive housing to seniors in need, working to ensure an often-overlooked population feels empowered to age in place.
In addition to partners, community members and local officials, Julia Gordon, Assistant Secretary for Housing and Federal Housing Commissioner at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), flew in from DC to speak and share her praise for this outstanding development.
