Congratulations to our partners at Full Circle Communities, Inc and Christian Community Health Center (CCHC) on the grand opening of Torrence Place in Lansing, IL!
This new 48-unit affordable housing development provides homes to Veterans and persons with disabilities. Torrence Place also features a 3,600 sq. ft. health clinic operated by CCHC that is dedicated to serving both residents and Lansing community members. Uniquely, the building highlights art that has local and historic significance: a colorful mural of airplanes on the exterior as well as the Tri-Motors Airplane statue, which was part of a 2006 community art project, and "a symbol of Lansing's long association with Henry Ford and the Ford Hangar."
Lansing Mayor Patty Eidam unveiled the statue surrounded by project representatives, community members, as well as NEF's representative, Tina Belanger.
